Surf into the New Year
Surf is the last pattern in the six shawl collection Knitting The Beach. To celebrate the end of this fun project and the end of the year, Surf will be free until midnight CST, on Thursday, December 31, with the coupon code BEACH2015. You can see all the patterns in the Beach Collection here.
Surf features an open, lace edging that reminds me of bubbles. The body of the shawl is worked in plain stockinette punctuated by rows of garter stitch eyelets that create little waves in the fabric. My test knitters chose some beautiful solid, gradient, and self-striping yarns that work perfectly with this pattern. You can see their projects here. Manos Del Uruguay Fino is the yarn that I used to knit my sample, and it wasn’t until I found it at The Yarn Nook that the design really came together. Not only is the color perfect, the yarn is incredibly soft and easy to work with.
I hope you’ve enjoyed knitting the beach with me! I have lots of fun projects planned for next year, and a few secret projects that are keeping me busy right now! If you would like to receive email updates of new pattern releases and special deals you can sign up for my pattern update email list here. I will only be sending pattern updates to this list, so if you would like to see what I’m working on at the moment, you can also follow me on whichever social media platform you use the most by clicking on the buttons below.
Have a happy New Year and thank you for knitting!

Each and every one of your designs reflects beautifully the most gorgeous aspects of the seashore. Thank you and all the best with your next designing phase.
